What’s the one food we’d want with us if we were stranded on a deserted island? Guacamole…definitely the guac!
Look no further for a guacamole recipe! Because we’re going to “guac your world” with this one.
Today we’re sharing with you the easiest, creamiest, and most out-of-this worldest guacamole recipe. Ever. This is going to become your new go-to guac recipe. It’s so simple.
Oh, and we even have a video to show you just how simple it is. With just 8 ingredients (not including salt & pepper), you’ll be able to whip this up in no time. It’s the perfect compliment to Mexican-inspired dishes such as our Slow Cooker Chicken Tacos or as an appetizer for holidays, parties, and last minute get togethers.
Just be ready for it to be a common request after you introduce it to family and friends. It’s that stinkin’ good!
It’s not just any guacamole!
It’s a loaded guacamole, you know the chunky kind, with peppers, onions, and garlic as well as cumin and cayenne to kick it up a notch. Not the squishy kind in the plastic tubs. But a guacamole you can really sink your teeth in and get serious about. Feel free to throw in some diced tomatoes, jalapeños, and black beans too. We love guac add-ins when we’ve got them on hand or when the mood strikes us.
Tortillas or Blue Corn Chips are great for dipping…..BUT so are veggies!
Guacamole isn’t just for chips! I know, surprising right?! Not really. It also makes for a fabulous veggie dip. A perfectly satisfying snack that you need to try. We also enjoy guacamole on top of salads, on eggs, mixed in with a tuna or egg salad just right from the spoon. It’s that good! Oh, and we can’t forget the plantain chips. Although, we’re warning you…they’re quite addictive.
Guacamole is jam-packed with nutrients. So it’s good for you.
Avocados are the main ingredient in guacamole and as you know, avocados are quite a superfood. They’re abundant in healthy fats, high in fiber, antioxidant rich, and contain 20 different vitamins and minerals. Don’t fear this fat, friends! Low-fat diets are such a thing of the past! Really, like 1990’s thing of the past.
