Broccoli-Cauliflower Salad with Bacon will please any crowd. A tasty side-dish or a delicious addition to a holiday menu, picnic or potluck.
MUST TRY recipe!
This has been one of my go-to recipes for quite some time. It’s one I make often whether it’s for a weeknight side-dish, holiday dinner or a summer grill-out at the cabin. Broccoli-Cauliflower Salad was inspired by one of my old-time favorites in which I recreated using only ‘real food’ ingredients, no added sugar and Whole30-friendly. I’m not sure why I’ve waited this long to share my Broccoli-Cauliflower Salad with Bacon recipe but lucky for you because today is the day. You’re going to love the simple combination of broccoli and cauliflower, sweet grapes, crunchy sunflower seeds and creamy dressing.@whole30-friendly Broccoli-Cauliflower Salad with Grapes & Bacon will please any crowd. While Jess is an amazing griller and can cook-up any meat to perfection, that’s totally not my jam. Thank goodness that my hubby is an awesome griller, too. However, salads my friends…salads are definitely my specialty when it comes to recipe creating.
I love getting creative with what ingredients I have on hand which happens often since I live several miles from the nearest grocery store. Let’s just say it’s not the quickest task to make a last minute run to the grocery store. I’ll take peace, quiet and space any day over the convenience of living minutes in the heart of a city (or ‘town’ in my neck of the woods). So with that said, when you’re making this Broccoli-Cauliflower Salad and if you don’t have sunflower seeds on hand but you have cashews, almonds, walnuts, pumpkin seeds, etc., use those. If you don’t have grapes on hand but you have raisins, add a handful of raisins instead. Modifications are always an option!
