9 Freezer-Friendly Chili Recipes

When your week has been unusually busy -or you’re practicing social distancing-, nothing beats the convenience of having a stash of chili in the freezer that’s ready to thaw, reheat, and eat. These 9 freezer-friendly chili recipes are some of our favorites and ones that frequently appear in our own meal prep rotations.

Fasten your tastebud seatbelts, folks

We’re about to throw down 9 freezer-friendly chili recipes that every home cook should have in their weeknight or meal prep quiver. Each one is a little different but they’re all delicious and if you asked us to pick a favorite, we’d have a really hard time doing so! From creamy to chunky to bean-filled to bean-less, there’s something for everyone.

And the best part? They’re all freezer-friendly. The other best part? Chili is one of the most forgiving recipes on the planet. It’s hard to mess it up and if you don’t have an ingredient or two on hand, it’s pretty easy to make substitutions (for example, tomato sauce for diced tomatoes, using extra garlic in place of onions or swapping cubed sweet potatoes or butternut squash for beans or vice versa).

Don’t be afraid to get creative, especially now that we’re all staying home and may have limited access to groceries. Now, more than ever, it’s a great time to make one (or two) of these 9 freezer-friendly chili recipes to use up some of your pantry stash while also stocking your freezer with healthy, low-stress meals you can enjoy later.

This one may be more of a stew than chili but daaaaaang, it’s good. And it’s got ‘chile’ in the name so why not?
