Your cookie tray is about to get a makeover with these 5 Healthy Holiday Treats. Treats made with less sugar, real food ingredients and your health in mind.
During the past 5 days we have been sharing some of our favorite family holiday treat recipes with a healthy twist. Now of course there are some family recipes that will always be made as written and will always be enjoyed without an ounce of guilt. Those recipes are filled with childhood memories and family traditions. However, if there is a recipe that we can tweak to reduce the sugar, make them refined-sugar free, substitute the white flour for something a little healthier like coconut flour or almond flour and the outcome is equally delicious, we absolutely will! And we enjoy the challenge of doing so along the way.
It’s time to round up these 5 Healthy Holiday Treat recipes.
All recipes are Gluten-free with some being egg-free, dairy-free and paleo-friendly. We hope you enjoy one or all of them!
Peppermint Brownie Batter Truffles are a guaranteed way to ensure you’re the life of the party.
You’ll never guess that the base of these truffles are made only with wholesome ingredients because they’re just like licking the spoon after mixing your favorite rich and chocolatey brownies with a pleasing tingle of mint. They should probably come with a warning, they’re that good!

Paleo Soft-Batch Ginger Molasses Cookies are sweetened ever so lightly with coconut sugar and molasses. They’re the perfect holiday treat and with only 5 grams of sugar per cookie, you could even enjoy them as part of a healthy breakfast!
The mouth-watering aroma these cookies give off when baking away in the oven will instantly put you in the holiday spirit (if you’re not already). You can drizzle them with a little chocolate and top with crushed pecans if you wish.
